Day 4 Fromista to Carrion de las Condes 20.1 km 5.5 hours

I was the first one to get up in the dormitory and had breakfast in the garden. There was no kitchen nor coffee automat so I begged a cup of coffee from the couch of the French bicyclists.

Walked alone today from Fromista and had coffee in the first village Poblacion. Met Martha and David there - Martha has a bad foot and walking slowly.

Walked first along the road on the Senda and then along the riverside. Nice walk but a hot day. Cloudy in the morning but no rain at all so far. Decided to take a single room for myselr at the Albergue Santiago for 30 Euros in Carrion de la Condes. Left my laundry to the lady and she washed it. Met my new friends Ulrike, Marja, Tiina, Nana and Alonzo from Colombia in the city. Bought a new MemoryStick for my camera. have taken a lot of photos and I will try to publish them later (if I can figure out how to do it).

A late dinner with Marja and Tiina. We took Meny del Dia for 10 Euros (Sopa Gallego, Pollo with Fritas and Frutas) and had some wine, too. Back to bed and this time no snoarers around.
Carrion is a beautiful city with about 4 albergues and some hotels. Many bars and restaurants.

                           Albergus Santiago single room 30 Euros with a bath tub!!! Not bad...
